The Training and Placement Cell at ACHARIYA welcomes the entire entrepreneur community for the utilization of the best brains available on the campus. Every year , the HR team including CEOs from different companies visit us for recruiting students by organizing / participating in both on and off campus placement programmes. The Training and Placement Cell also arranges for summer trainings of all pre-final year B.T ech. students.

INDUSTRIAL VISITS
Hands-on experience on business and industrial realities is provided to the students through industrial visits. Pre-final year students visit different industrial complexes located both inside and outside Pondicherry.
IN-PLANT TRAINING
In-plant training is also arranged in different companies like Steel Plants, Power Plants, large manufacturing units and others during the summer vacation
Admission & Fees
In Puducherry , Admission to professional courses is centralised and done by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry. Admission to the "Government Quota of Seats" in Private and Unaided Professional CENTAC engineering colleges, including the minority Colleges, will be as per the law/ regulation /order of Government of India, or of the Government of Puducherry, on the subject. The details regarding the Colleges and the number of seats will be made available at the time of counselling.
Minimum Qualifications For Admission
The candidate should have passed the qualifying Examination (i.e.) +2 level (class XII/Intermediate Examination or its equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks (a mere pass for SC / ST candidates) in aggregate, in the prescribed subjects, namely - Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry/Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology (Botany & Zoology).
Candidates belonging to UT of Puducherry, and who have passed HSC (Vocational Stream in the area of Engineering & Technology) examination, or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks (a mere pass for SC candidates) in aggregate, in the prescribed subjects, namely: Vocational subjects and a related subject (Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry),are also eligible for admission to the B.Tech. Degree course.
For Lateral entry in to third semester of the eight semester B.Tech programme : The minimum qualification for admission is a pass in three year diploma or four year sandwich diploma course in engineering / technology with a minimum of 50 % marks ( 45% marks for all other candidates) in aggregate in the subjects covered from 3rd to final semester or a pass in any B.Sc. course with mathematics as one of the subjects of study with a minimum of 50% marks ( 45% marks for all other candidates) in aggregate in main and ancillary subjects excluding language subjects.
The maximum age limit for B. Tech is 21 years for admission into 1st Year at 24 Years for lateral entry into 2nd Year.
Feesfees
Students admitted to any B.Tech degree Programme through CENTAC have to pay the fees structured by Pondicherry University.
Students admitted through Management Quota have to pay the fees structured by the management.
The last date for the complete payment of the fees will be 2 weeks form the date of admission.

The college currently provides transportation facilities for the students and staff members by operating four buses covering various areas in Pudhucherry.

Rules and Regualations
Conduct of Minimum Attendance
The college encourages 95% attendance. No student will be allowed to appear in the University examination if he does not attend minimum 75 % classes of theory & practical classes. He also has to submit satisfactorily all the assignments, jobs, journals and reports, as specified by the university, within the stipulated time limits. If any of the statement made in the application form or any information supplied by the candidate in connection with his / her admission is later, found to be false or incorrect, his / her admission will be cancelled, fees forfeited and he / she may be expelled from the college by the Principal.
COLLEGE TIMINGS
Classes for the B.Tech. courses will be conducted as follows:
Full time : From 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. - 5 working days a week.
College Discipline
Due to the High standard of discipline maintained in general in the curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular areas, the college has earned a name for itself. Any act that brings ill repute to the institution is considered an act of misconduct.
Discipline
On or off the campus if any student is found indulging in any anti-national activities contrary to the provision of acts and laws enforced by the government, any activity contrary to rules and regulation of the college, he/she will be summarily expected from the college.
Dress Code
Boys: Plain coloured shirts with dark trousers neatly tucked. Shoes with socks clean shaven and hair neatly groomed. Jeans/T-shirts not permitted.
Girls: Churidhar with dhupata in sober colours. Short churidhars not permitted . slit in churidhars not be more than 10inches above the knees.
Identity Card
Each Student shall be provided with an identity card which is valid till the completion of the course. Candidates are instructed to safely preserve their identity cards. The ID also will indicate whether the student is a hosteller or day-scholar, to avail college transport.
Change of Address
If there is any change in the address, parents should inform to the respective department head and the college office the address must be changed in the ID card immediately.
Scholarship
scholarships Government Schemes
The government of Pudhucherry is regularly awarding financial assistance every year under Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Assistance Scheme to the eligible students of this union territory studying Medical/Engineering Courses and to those students sponsored for Medical/Engineering Courses under together states quota of MHRD.
Only those candidates who are sponsored through CENTAC will be eligible for consideration for the award of this financial assistance subject to the fulfillment of other conditions of the scheme.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, Government of India has introduced a new Scholarship scheme titled "Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students", which will be implemented from the financial year 2008-09. For Students pursuing professional courses would get Rs.2000/- per month in the 4th and 5th year. The scholarship would be paid for 10 months in an academic year.
BC, minority, SC&ST scholarships are also available with the government of Puducherry.
Management Schemes
MANAGEMENT has Several schemes to offer scholarships to the meritorious students. Sports persons are awarded appropriate scholarships by the management Students excelling in Co-curricular and extracurricular activities are entitled for suitable scholarships.
Anti- Ragging
Ragging is a criminal offense
(AICTE regulation Number F.No.37-3/Legal/AICTE/2009)
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited on and off the campus. Anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, or being a part of a conspiracy to promote ragging, shall be immediately expelled from the college in accordance with the AICTE Regulations.
